National Museum of Korea

It is Korea’s largest national museum located in Yongsan, Seoul!

The National Museum of Korea is divided into East Building West Building.

Located in Yongsan, Seoul, the National Museum of Korea is a world-class museum representing Korea with a length of 404 meters, a height of 43.08 meters, one basement floor, and six floors above the ground.

The National Museum of Korea, which houses 300,000 artifacts (as of January 2012), displays a total of 12,000 artifacts in six permanent exhibition halls (prehistoric, ancient, medium and modern, donation, calligraphy, Asian, sculpture and crafts). The permanent exhibition hall consisting of three floors is free of charge.

In addition, there are overseas relics exhibitions, special exhibition rooms (paid), children’s museums, and outdoor exhibition halls with various themes.

The National Museum of Korea is divided into East and West. A museum and a special exhibition hall for children are located in the library, and the main building with six permanent exhibition halls is located in the building. It was relocated to a local location in October 2005.

1st floor	There are 10 exhibition rooms on the 1st floor, including prehistoric and ancient buildings from the Paleolithic era to Balhae. There are exhibition rooms from the Middle and Modern Customs → Korea and Joseon Dynasty.
Second floor	There is a donation hall and a calligraphy hall on the second floor
3rd floor	Asia Hall on the 3rd floor → Cultural properties from China, Japan, and Central Asia are on display. Sculpture and Craft Museum → Korean Buddhist sculptures, Goryeo celadon, and Joseon white porcelain are on display.
