Gijang-gun, located in the east from the center of Busan, has recently opened facilities such as Gijang Market, Yonggungsa Temple, Lotte Outlet Dongbusan Branch, and the Busan National Science Museum, making it a popular attraction with vehicles visiting on weekends. About 30 minutes by car from Gijang Market to Ulsan, Jeonggwan New Town was built in Jeonggwan-myeon, Gijang-gun, transforming Gijang-gun into a more vibrant city, where the Jeonggwan Museum is located.

The Jeonggwan Museum, located in Banggok-ri, Jeonggwan-myeon, Gijang-gun, opened in January 2015 for the preservation, exhibition, and demolition of relics after the construction of Jeonggwan New Town. The three-story Jeonggwan Museum consists of a special exhibition hall on the first floor, a storage on the second floor, a permanent exhibition hall on the third floor, a children’s experience room, and an outdoor exhibition park on the fourth floor.

The permanent exhibition hall on the third floor vividly reproduces the remains of the village excavated in Dongjak, Jeonggwan-myeon, Gijang-gun, and relics showing the life of the Three Kingdoms Period excavated in Cheonggang-ri, Daera-ri, Cheolma-myeon, and an outdoor exhibition park is located outside the passageway connected to the fourth floor. And you can see a residential area over the opposite side of the museum, where the ruins of the village of the Three Kingdoms Period were excavated.
