Goryeong-gun– category –

It is located in the southwest end of Gyeongsangbuk-do and borders Daegu Metropolitan City on the Nakdonggang River in the east. The Gayasan Mountain Range is connected to the west, and the Goryeong-gun area along the Nakdonggang River to the east is famous for strawberries and melons because there are many fertile lands.

Historically, it was the land of Daegaya Kingdom (42-550), and Goryeong became the center in the late Daegaya period. In Goryeong, many relics and ancient tombs from the Daegaya period were excavated, and you can learn the history of Daegaya at the only Daegaya Museum in Korea.

And next to the museum is the Daegaya Royal Tomb Exhibition Hall, where you can see the inside of Jisan-dong Tomb No. 44, the first tomb identified in Korea, as it is. In addition, Daegaya History Theme Tourist Site exhibits the old age of the past and present under the theme of Daegaya history and culture.
