Japanese Castle built in 1593 when Hideyoshi Toyotomi was dispatched to Korea
Located about 10 minutes’ drive from Gijang-gun to the east coast of Busan, the Japanese retreat from Hanyang, Seoul, in 1593, was built by Nagamasa Kuroda in Gijang, the closest city to Busan, and during the Imjin War, Kiyomasa Kato was temporarily stationed.

Centering on two low hills overlooking the sea in front of Gijang in Busan, the Honmaru, Cheonsugak, was built in the southern hills 64m above sea level, and an intelligence was built in the low hills 45m north of the main castle. The area of the castle is 8,595㎡, the length of the wall is about 300m, and the height of the remaining walls is about 4 to 5m. The castle is located in a key point in the middle of the fortress located on the east coast of the city of Seosaengpo, Ulsan, and Busan, located in downtown Busan.
It was designated as Busan Metropolitan City Monument No. 48 on March 9, 1999, and the walls at the time of its construction remain relatively well.
