Yeongnam’s first pavilion containing the arang tale of Miryang Arirang, one of the three major pavilions in Korea and one of Korea’s three greatest folk songs.
hello. Yeongnam-ru (Treasure No. 147) in Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, located about 40 minutes northwest of Busan Station by KTX, is counted as one of the three major pavilions in Korea along with Chokseok-ru in Jinjuseong and Bubyeok-ru in Pyongyang.

Located on the rolling cliff of the Miryang River, the magnificent Yeongnamnu Pavilion was a small annex of Yeongnamsa Temple in Silla Wonrae, but it was reconstructed during the reign of King Gongmin of Goryeo. The current building was rebuilt in 1844.

Yeongnamnu Pavilion, along with Jindo Arirang in Jeollanam-do and Jeongseon Arirang in Gangwon-do, is also a historic place where the Arang narrative of Miryang Arirang, one of the top three folk songs in Korea, is handed down.
