Opened in 1998 in Haeundae Centum City, Busan, where Shinsegae Department Store and Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) are located, the city art museum is a cultural space representing Busan with a total of 1,800 pyeong of art.
It provides a wide range of art culture through collecting, exhibiting, researching, and international exchanges of various genres of art, raising the awareness of art culture of Busan citizens through various works of art and artists, and providing an art meeting place familiar to the public.
In addition, various exhibitions have been held since its opening, and the Busan Art Exhibition and the Busan Biennale, which are held every two years, have been established as an international planning stage.
